June Prayer Guide

Theme: Prayer for Our Church Families

“As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” – Joshua 24:15

This prayer guide is designed to help our church intentionally pray for the families within our congregation. Each week focuses on a different age group—from babies through high school—asking God to work in the hearts, homes, and lives of our children and those who care for them. Use this guide in personal prayer, family devotion, small groups, or corporate worship.

Week 1 – Babies & Toddlers (Birth–Age 2)

Scripture: “From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb.” – Psalm 71:6

Prayer Focus: Protection, Love, and Foundation - Pray for the physical health, safety, and development of the babies and toddlers in our church. - Pray that they would be surrounded by love, consistency, and gentle care. - Pray for parents and caregivers to have patience, wisdom, and strength. - Ask God to begin forming a strong spiritual foundation in these young lives, even before they can understand it.

Week 2 – Preschool & Early Childhood (Ages 3–5)

Scripture: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them.” – Matthew 19:14

Prayer Focus: Wonder, Trust, and Early Faith - Pray that children would learn to see God as loving, kind, and trustworthy. - Pray for curiosity, joy, and a growing awareness of God’s presence. - Pray for parents, teachers, and volunteers as they model faith through words and actions. - Ask God to help families create homes where prayer and Scripture are part of everyday life.

Week 3 – Elementary Age (Grades K–5)

Scripture: “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6

Prayer Focus: Growth, Character, and Belonging - Pray for children to grow in their understanding of who God is and how much He loves them. - Pray for strong friendships, healthy confidence, and kindness toward others. - Pray for protection at school and in activities—emotionally, physically, and spiritually. - Ask God to help children feel known, valued, and included within the church community.

Week 4 – Middle School (Grades 6–8)

Scripture: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers.” – 1 Timothy 4:12

Prayer Focus: Identity, Courage, and Wisdom - Pray for students as they wrestle with identity, belonging, and self-worth. - Pray for wisdom in friendships, choices, and use of time and technology. - Pray that they would develop courage to follow Christ even when it is difficult. - Pray for parents and leaders to guide them with grace, truth, and understanding.

Week 5 – High School (Grades 9–12)

Scripture: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” – Proverbs 3:5–6

Prayer Focus: Faith Ownership and Future Direction - Pray for students to claim their faith as their own and grow in a personal relationship with Jesus. - Pray for discernment as they make decisions about academics, friendships, and future plans. - Pray for strength to stand firm in biblical truth and resist pressure that pulls them away from Christ. - Ask God to guide them into futures marked by purpose, integrity, and hope.

Closing Prayer: Lord, thank You for the families of our church. We ask that You would strengthen homes, grow faith across generations, and draw every child and student closer to You. May our church be a place where families are supported, encouraged, and rooted in Your love. Amen.
