LOUIS TAMBURRO

Lead Pastor

Louis was an atheist in college, but in 2001 he became a Christian. It’s his passion for preaching and sharing the gospel that led him to pursue pastoral ministry. He became a youth pastor in 2005, and then he extended his education by receiving a Masters In Divinity and a Masters In Pastoral Counseling. Louis was raised in the Orlando area and has served several local churches here. He has a tremendous desire to multiply God’s church for the sake of reaching those who are far from God. His atheist background has uniquely gifted him to reach un-churched people while still growing the faith of those within the church. He and his wife Andrea have three children: Noah, Caleb, and Tenley.

Zack and his family moved to Orlando in 2016 to help plant City Awakening. He loves serving the church in a wide variety of ways and equipping people to be fully devoted followers of Christ. ALEX ROBINSON

Community Pastor

Alex grew up in Orlando and became a believer as a child. He developed a love for God and ministry during his time in his youth group at his childhood church in Winter Park. This led to time spent in campus ministry at the University of Florida and summers spent working both children’s and youth church camps. After two years working in finance after college, he followed God’s call into pastoral ministry and moved to Raleigh, NC to attend Southeastern Baptist Seminary. While a member at the Summit Church, Raleigh-Durham, he and his wife, Kacy, joined the launch team of City Awakening. He now serves to strengthen the church’s missional community groups and other avenues of spiritual growth in the church. You can contact Alex at alex@cityawakening.org

KIMBERLY WATERS

Executive Assistant

My name is Kimberly Waters. I am currently a stay at home/work from home mother to 3 children, Emmett, Wyatt and Agnes and wife to Stephen. Growing up in church, I became a believer in Jesus at a young age. As I have grown into adulthood, I look back and see the faithful Christians whom God placed in my life to invest in and encourage my faith. They showed me what it looked like to truly follow Jesus. My family and I are active members in our local church body here in Alabama. While the Lord has placed me at home with my young children during these valuable years of disciple making, I am thankful for the opportunity to participate in the mission of His Church. I am excited to be a part of the things God is doing through City Awakening.

SAVANNAH ALDERMAN

City Kids Director

Savannah was born and raised in Nashville, TN, where she became a believer at 9 years old. However, it was really in college where she grew her faith and learned how to daily rely on His promises.  Savannah started serving in children’s ministry at 12 years old which began her passion for teaching children. Ultimately, children’s ministry is what led to her career as a pediatric occupational therapist and what led to her passion to adopt. After bringing her daughters home from Taiwan in 2020, Savannah was navigating how to continue pursuing her passion of occupational therapy while also being home more with the girls. Her previous history of children’s ministry led her to take over the Director of Children’s Ministry at their church in Tennessee. Unexpectedly in the summer of 2023, God placed a calling on the Alderman’s to move to Orlando and led them to City Awakening. She is passionate about the impact a children’s ministry can have on a family and is thrilled to be a part of the ministry at City Awakening!

ROBBIE ALDERMAN

Worship Pastor

Robbie was born and raised in Orlando, FL. Robbie professed faith in Jesus and gave his heart to Jesus when he was 6 years old but didn't decide to devote his life to Jesus until his sophomore year of college. Through high school and college Robbie developed a love for ministry and being a "lead worshipper." Over the years, he has had many opportunities to lead worship in different churches and denominations, cities and states and even around the world in Haiti and Taiwan. Leading worship brought Robbie to Nashville in 2014 where he met and fell in love with Savannah, who he married. Robbie and Savannah adopted three biological sisters from Taiwan in 2020. Aside from music, Robbie has also helped pay the bills by working in different sales jobs, serving as a Realtor in Nashville, and recently began a full time 100% remote role with CRISTA Ministries, a Christian non profit in Seattle, WA  in email marketing. This job change allowed the Aldermans to move back to Orlando to be closer to the beach and Disney and send their daughters to International Community School which is where Robbie grew up. Robbie is very excited to begin the new role at City Awakening and continue to grow the culture of worship that already exists so strongly.
