COVID-19 Protocols

We closely monitor the decisions made by our government and health officials so that we can ensure the health and safety of our guests, while continuing to meet spiritual needs. We are excited to offer a phased-in reopening that will provide opportunities for all of our guests to stay engaged throughout the coming months. We are meeting in person with the following guidelines:

  • To help regulate social distancing and prepare our facility, attendees are encouraged to RSVP each week here. Seating groups will be limited to 9 or less.

  • 1 City Kids classroom is currently open for ages 3 & under.

    • Kids will participate in temperature checks prior to checking in.

    • Volunteers in the classroom will be temperature checked and will wear masks.

    • Toys and surfaces will be sanitized before and after use.

    • Parents will be asked to sign a waiver agreeing to the potential risks as well as stating the health of their child(ren).

  • Children ages 4 & up are invited to attend the service with their parent(s).

    • Sermon notes for kids will be available to families for the service, and parents are encouraged to bring what’s needed for their children (snacks, coloring pages, etc.)

  • Additional Health and Safety Protocols:

    • All guest are asked to wear a mask in the facility. You may remove your mask when seated in the auditorium.

    • Our Auditorium will adhere to social distancing guidelines. You will be able to sit with the family or the party you arrived with, but will be placed 6ft apart from other parties.

    • You will find several hand sanitizing stations across our facilities. We will ask that everyone sanitizes before entering our building.

    • All Guest Services Team Members and Church Staff will participate in temperature checks prior to serving that day.

    • All self-serve coffee stations are temporarily discontinued.

  • Online Services are streamed live each week.

  • Missional Community Groups will continue to operate in the “hybrid” format, offering in-person and online options.

  • City Awakening Student small groups for Middle School and High School students are meeting in person.

Serve the Community

Make a donation to our Second Harvets Virtual Food Drive – This drive will help provide meals to families that have lost their jobs because of COVID.

  1. Make a donation to the Alice Fund (United Way) – This fund helps pay rent and utilities for those struggling to make ends meet due to financial hardship. Learn more here: Alice Recovery Fund

  2. Support those in the medical profession – Many healthcare professionals are working long hours, which puts a greater demand on them and thier families. Look for ways to serve them by providing meals, a care package, babysitting, or emotional support.

  3. Offer childcare for friends or neighbors who still have to go to work even though their kids are home.

Serve our Church Family

  1. Stay in touch with other members of our congregation. Ask about their direct needs or the needs of those around them. Provide a word of encouragement and pray for them.

  2. Give online: Your continued support of City Awakening will allow us to continue to do ministry during this critical time in our city.

  1. Join a Missional Community Groups – These small groups are essential to building relationships with one another. Thanks to technology, it’s never been easier to join one.
